NEW! Newest additions since last update:

Zombie by Joyce Carol Oates

Excellent fictionalization of Jeffrey Dahmer’s last crimes, the author changes names to protect the innocent (and probably to avoid being sued by opportunistic bloodsuckers). But the central character narrates the story in diary form. It really takes you into the mind of a sick and twisted individual here! BTW, I loved the cover. Very “Se7en”-like. Emphasizes Jeffrey Dahmer’s attempts to produce “zombies” out of people and goes into detail on how he did it, complete with black & white medical blueprint.  **** (four stars!)

Exquisite Corpse by Poppy Z. Brite

You have to read this one to believe it! In this work of fiction, cult author  Poppy Z. Brite draws up the incredible “what if?” encounter between JEFFREY DAHMER & DENNIS NILSEN! Nobody but Brite could pull this off so convincingly. The critics rave, and with good reason! Click here to order now! **** (four stars)

The A-Z Encyclopedia of Serial Killers by Harold Schechter

No serial killer bookshelf is complete without this volume. The info covers many different killers and has a section dedicated to Jeffrey Dahmer, but they are all here: Ted Bundy, Albert Fish, David Berkowitz (the “Son of Sam”), Ed Gein, etc. *** (three stars)

The Killers Among Us : An Examination of Serial Murder and Its Investigation by Steven A. Egger

This is one of my favorites! Has a case study on Jeffrey Dahmer and indicates that he may represent the future of serial killing. Excellent essays on many killers, and on the investigation of serial crime. Classy! Curiously, the cover is a lot similar to that of the previous entry’s. **** (four stars)
